Then it’s time to hop on the bus and let the thrift adventure begin!

Our journey takes us through Georgetown as we visit four of our favorite thrift spots. Each stop is a new opportunity to explore, dig through the racks, and discover those one-of-a-kind treasures.

But the fun doesn’t stop when we leave the stores! Along the way, we’ll keep the energy high with a game laughs, and a friendly competition. Get ready for our “Throwback Thrifty” game on the bus and earn bragging rights as the ultimate Thrifty Thursday treasure hunter!

Halfway through the adventure, we’ll take a break for a quick lunch to recharge before jumping back on the bus and continuing the hunt for more bargains.

Some adventures are about getting there. This one is about getting a little wild along the way! We’ll begin in Brownwood at the Museum of History, where the stories of West Texas come to life—the people, places, characters, and unexpected events that helped shape the region.  After all, West Texas has always had a wild side! And then there’s the jail… let’s just say some of that wild history ended up behind bars.  With fascinating and sometimes mysterious stories tucked behind its walls.  From there, we’ll wander through Shaw’s Marketplace, a charming destination filled with beautiful boutiques, local shops, and plenty to explore, before heading to the true showstopper of the day: Texas Botanical Gardens & Native American Interpretive Center in Goldthwaite.  This is where the wild things really come to life! Surrounded by native plants, winding gardens, and the natural beauty of the Texas landscape, this guided tour offers a closer look at the land and the Native American history, traditions, and stories woven into its past. Midday, we will visit a popular Brownwood restaurant with a wonderfully unexpected past, set in a historic location full of stories, surprises, and Texas character. What began in the1800’s has since blossomed into a favorite local gathering place for lunch.  A little wild history, a little mystery, a whole lot of nature, and one wonderfully wild Texas day.

We’re heading to charming Downtown Georgetown for the 4th ANNUAL COFFEE & COCOA CRAWL—and we’re covering your $25 ticket! We’ll spend the morning strolling through beautiful historic downtown, visiting participating local businesses and sampling delicious coffees and hot cocoa. And the best part? You’ll get to vote for your favorite coffee or cocoa of the day! Your ticket also includes a keepsake mug, so you’ll have a fun little souvenir to take home.

Since we’ll be there for Small Business Saturday, it’s the perfect time to shop local! Enjoy the festive atmosphere and decor along Main Street, browse local and specialty shops, discover unique gifts, and take advantage of holiday specials and promotions from participating businesses.

We’ll make a stop at a local farmers market, where you’ll have time to browse fresh products, local goods, and other unique finds.

And because your holiday shopping list may still be giving you a little side-eye, we’ll have time to explore some popular stores for great gifts—or perhaps a little something for yourself!

After all that sipping and shopping, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before making a quick stop at The Yard for one of their famously over-the-top sweet treats.

Get ready for a rockin’ Christmas adventure in Waco! This festive day trip is packed with holiday cheer, great food, sweet treats, and, most importantly, ELVIS! The highlight of our day is an unforgettable afternoon of “Winter Wonderland,” featuring FOUR talented Elvis impersonators and a LIVE BAND bringing the King’s legendary energy to the stage with a festive holiday twist! There will be plenty of time to browse, shop, and soak up the festive atmosphere of this delightful historic downtown square.

Next, we’ll visit the Beloved Gallery, beautifully decorated for Christmas and ready to welcome us with a special holiday experience. Enjoy hot cocoa, warm cider, and seasonal treats as we discover the remarkable story and inspiration behind renowned artist Akiane Kramarik and her celebrated "Prince of Peace" painting and other childhood artwork and poetry. Her extraordinary journey and creative vision offer a fascinating and uplifting experience that stays with you long after the visit.

As the day turns to evening, we’ll enjoy a wonderful dinner at a favorite local restaurant, giving us time to relax and enjoy a delicious meal before our spectacular finale.

Then, as night falls, we’ll make our way to the Marble Falls Walkway of Lights, where the town comes alive in a breathtaking Christmas glow. More than 2 million lights are on display, creating a magical setting you won’t want to miss. This dazzling quarter-mile walkway features more than 300 holiday light features and 350 festive sculptures, including reindeer, snowmen, Christmas trees, and so much more.

Then, the evening truly comes alive as we journey into a beautifully recreated Bethlehem—a captivating experience that transports you back to the night of the first Christmas. Follow lantern-lit pathways beneath the glow of the Christmas star and step into a living recreation of Bethlehem as it might have been long ago.

Wander among costumed villagers, artisans, shepherds, Roman soldiers, live animals, and bustling marketplace scenes. Hear the sounds of Christmas carols drifting through the evening as the Nativity story unfolds through music, costumes, and live scenes.
